Etna Family Explorer

Etna Family Explorer is the perfect way for the whole family to discover themost famous volcano in Europe, between science, nature and fun.

The tour includes a stage itinerary with trips aboard our vehicles (Comfort****in an 8-seater minivan orAdventure****in 4×4 for 6/8 seats for an even more adventurous off-road experience), to safely explore the most suggestive places of the Etna Park.

You can choose whether to experience the adventure in the morning, among lava flows and lush woods, orat sunset, with the soft lights of the afternoon and the milder temperatures.

Ascent between ancient lava flows and forests

After a short briefing with the guides, we start along the roads that climb towards the volcano, crossing ancient and recent lava fields up to 2000 meters above sea level, between lunar landscapes and woods rich in vegetation.

Side craters in Easy Trekking

A simple walk of about 1 km at an altitude of 2000 meters leads to the discovery of an area full of extinct craters, with explanations designed even for children about volcanic phenomena.

Belvedere over the Bove Valley

Stop at the viewpoint of the majestic Valle del Bove, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013. With the 4×4 option, you get there through a fun off-road route.

Volcanic Cave Visit

Equipped with a speleologist's helmet and light, you descend into a lava flow cave (lava tube) to experience the thrill of exploring the meanders of the volcano: an experience that children love.

Educational Laboratory for Small Volcanologists

A moment designed especially for children, with recreational and educational activities to discover in a fun way the secrets of Etna and volcanology.

Tasting of Etna specialities**/ AperìDolce at Tramonto**

The morning ends with a tasting of typical Etna sweet and savory products (Zafferana honey, Nocellara dell'Etna oil, jams, pistachio creams, savory pesto).

The sunset tour, on the other hand, ends with an “AperìDolce”: dry sesame and almond cookies and Zibibbo wine, to be enjoyed while the sky lights up with the colors of the sunset on Etna.

Little Volcanologist Diploma and Souvenir Photos

At the end of the excursion, each child receives their Little Volcanologist Diplom, and the family is given apersonalized souvenir photo on Etna: the perfect souvenir of this day.

Add an extra taste experience to the tour! It is possible to add the Etna Flavors Menu or a Wine Experience to the reservation (details in the online booking). By purchasing one of the menus online, the covered service is included (3€) .

Discover MontaGrande

Our excursions start and end from MontataGrande: here you will find anoutdoor play area for children,donkeys to get to know and apicnic space for those who want to bring a packed lunch.

It is also possible to have breakfast with granita or coffee before leaving, and on the way back, take advantage of the tasting of typical products included in the ticket.
